Obituary for Mildred Seawell

Mildred Nicholson Seawell, 97, of Charlotte, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 18, 2017. She was born March 5, 1920 to the late Charles and Sallie Bell Nicholson in Pageland, SC.
She retired from Carolina Film Service after 34 years of service. Mildred was also a Charter member of Women of the Motion Picture Industry (WOMPI) and was actively involved with the club’s community service activities. Her door was always open to friends and family, and she enjoyed cooking, attending church and being with her church family.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Clarence H. Seawell, son; Charles Seawell, sister; Sarah Hatchell and a brother Miller Nicholson. Surviving are her daughter Patricia Connell and son-in-law Oscar Connell, Jr., grandchildren; Tim, Jena, John, and Suzi, great-grandchildren; Janelle, Courtney, Ava, Jake, and Kelsie, great-great-grandchildren; Kaleb and Kinsley.
Services will be held at Kings Cross Church, Charlotte at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 with the Reverend Dick Shaw officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Kings Cross Church, 3936 Craig Ave, Charlotte, NC 28211. Online condolences may be shared at www.tallentfuneralservice.com.
