Obituary for Nolan Patrick Mazza

Nolan Patrick Mazza, 20, died peacefully at home surrounded by family and close friends, October 6, 2017, after a degenerative childhood diagnosis of Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy. Nolan is survived by his loving parents, Sandy and Greg Mazza and his adoring siblings Meghan, Molly and Nicholas.

Nolan was a student in the transition program at Metro School, loved playing baseball on the YMCA Miracle League team, enjoyed bowling and going to the movies. But most of all, Nolan was happiest at home in the company of family and caregivers who loved him beyond measure.

With an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room, Nolan taught us all that we should cherish this life with love and gratitude for God’s many gifts and blessings.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to extended family, friends, and countless health care providers who loved and cared for Nolan throughout his lifetime.

The following services will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Rd. Charlotte, NC. Viewing and visitation with the family Tuesday, October 10, 2017 3:30pm-5:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 6:00pm with a reception afterwards in the Fellowship Hall.
