Mrs. Atanat, age 84, born on Long Island, New York and a resident of Charlotte, NC, and former resident of Roanoke, Virginia died April 2, 2009, peacefully, after a short illness.
She is survived by her children Jacqueline Adria Atanat, John Peter Atanat, Jane Ellen Embrey; grandchildren Audra Lipa, Jordan Atanat, Sally Embrey, Lia Atanat, Reilly Embrey, Luke Atanat, and her special friend, Joe Biron. Grace was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John Peter Atanat. The Family wants to thank the doctors and staff at Presbyterian CCU and Hospice for their compassionate care.
