Mr. Baker, 59, died at his home in Charlotte, NC on April 5, 2009. He was born in Charlotte, June 9, 1949, son to the late Rowland Lloyd Baker and Dorothy Lindley Baker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rowland “Ronnie” L. Baker, Jr. and sisters, Dorothy B. Morris and Susan Carol Baker.
Jack attended West Mecklenburg High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors are his sister, Jo Ann B. Hall and husband, Dwayne; three brothers, Charles W. Baker, John Lewis Baker and James Jeffrey Baker.
Jack was a compassionate, loving son, brother and friend.
Services will be private.
