Mildred Brady Brown, widow of Lawrence R. Brown, died Friday, July 10, 2009 at Champions Assisted Living facility at Porters Neck, Wilmington, NC.
She was born in Gaston Co., on May 26, 1915, the daughter of the late William H. and Bessie Randle Brady. She was involved in the Bus transportation business for 47 years, with the last 39 years with Queen City Trailways. She was an active member of the Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church and was presented a plaque naming her Lady of the Year for her service to her Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her son, L. Raeford Brown and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Brown of Wrightsville Beach, NC; granddaughter, Leigh Ann and husband Robbie Bryson of High Point, NC; grandson, Kyle R. Brown and fiancé, Amanda Pullets of Charlotte, NC; great grand-daughters, Taylor, Casey, Jessie and Brooke Bryson; great grandson, Carson Brown; sisters Daunita Blanton of Shelby, NC, Gladys Hartman of Charlotte, NC; brother, William H. Brady, Jr. of Delight, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Albemarle Road Presbyterian Church, 6740 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC 28212. Interment will be concluded at Sharon Memorial Cemetery, Corner of Sharon Amity and Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until time of the service.
