Mrs. Danielson, 90, of Charlotte passed away at home on January 3, 2010 after a six year courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on November 3, 1919 in Berlin, Germany to the late Hans and Agnes Bennewitz.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband Loran Danielson. She is survived by her three daughters, Rita K. Ladner and husband Van of Winter Haven, Florida, Renee E. Tallevast of Edgewater, Florida and Colette T. McMurray and husband, Charley of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; grandchildren, Angelique DePalmer, Cindy Bowers, Tony Ladner, Sean Frazier, Kelley McMurray and Becky Fields; and great-grandchildren, Zane Bowers and Maxton Ladner.
Mrs. Danielson was a member of Back Creek Presbyterian Church and enjoyed the close fellowship and friendship of her “lunch bunch” group. The family will receive friends at 9:45 am Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Back Creek Presbyterian Church with the funeral service following at 11:00 am with The Reverend Dr. Wayne Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Back Creek Church Cemetery.
The family wishes to recognize and thank their mother’s many special friends for their years of Christian dedication and care during her illness. Mrs. Danielson requested that special appreciation be given to her oncologist, Dr. David Tait, Vonnie and all of the caring staff at Blumenthal Cancer Center. Special appreciation also goes out to Barbara and Garth Radley for their constant care and Christian love.
