Mr. Furr, 66, of Mint Hill, NC passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.
Survivors include his wife, Harriett of the home, daughter, Kimberly Smith and husband Kirk, grandchildren, Chad and Lindsey Smith, all of Huntersville; his sister, Judy Taylor and husband, Tommy of Harrisburg, his brother, Dale and wife, Barbara of Midland and a special friend, Geneva Mullis of Stanfield.
Born in Albemarle, NC, he was the son of the late Archie and Edna Furr. Jimmy was an active member of Derita Lodge #715 A.F. & A.M. He owned and operated Lake Auto Parts, Huntersville until it was closed in 1998.
Visitation will be at 10am followed by a memorial services at 11am on Monday, August 24, 2009, at J B Tallent Chapel with the Rev. Bruce League, officiating.
Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
