Mr. Litton, 81, of Charlotte died Monday, March 16, 2009 at Asbury Care Center. He was a graduate of Wayne State University and served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Litton made a lifelong career in sales. He was a member of Sardis Presbyterian Church and will be remembered for his wry smile and his love in telling witty stories.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Alberta Henry Litton; son James Lee Litton and wife Ellen of Weaverville, NC; daughter Ann Carrie Spoth and husband Ray of Colleyville, TX and two grandchildren, Scott and Emily Litton. He was preceded in death by his brother Jay Francis Litton.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, March 21, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Sardis Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sardis Presbyterian Church 6100 Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC 28270. J.B. Tallent Funeral Service is serving the family.
