Mrs. O達rien, 80 of Charlotte, formerly of Hendersonville, NC died peacefully Friday morning, March 13, 2009.
Mrs. O達rien was born on July 17, 1928, to the late Jake Russell and Leona Schoonover Russell. She was preceded in death by her brother Paul Russell, her sister, Norma Russell Hewitt, and her beloved nephew Walter Russell Hewitt.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William F. O達rien; son, William Shawn O達rien, daughter Molly O達rien McDeson and husband, Sean, two grandchildren, Morgan Kay McDeson and Ian Michael McDeson, all of Charlotte. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. O達rien attended Miami University in Ohio where she majored in Art. She was a woman of many talents. She enjoyed painting, needlepoint, knitting, sewing, and quilting. She loved the beach and the mountains. She was a huge fan of Notre Dame Football!
The family wishes to thank those at Sardis Oaks who cared for their Mother.
A memorial service will be at 11:30 AM on Monday, March 16, 2009 in the chapel of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
