Mr. Richardson 47, of Charlotte, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main. He was born in Charlotte, NC on November 10, 1961, son of Mary Ann Helms Richardson and the late Robert Thomas Richardson, Sr. He was a graduate of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, an avid race fan and a 2007 heart transplant recipient.
Surviving are his son, Mark Richardson, his mother, brothers, Bobby Richardson and Ray Richardson, sisters Cheryl Sinerly (Ozzie) and Lorie Guin (Jay); nieces and nephews, Josh, Angie, Hannah, Lexie, Colby, Ryan and Justin, also surviving are several grand nieces and grand nephews.
The funeral service will be at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Cole Memorial United Methodist Church with The Reverend Greg Freeman.
The family will receive friends at church from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Tuesday.
