Mrs. Stedem, 78, left this Earth, but not our hearts on Jan. 12, 2009. A loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband William with over 50 years of marriage and five children: William, Janet, Donald, Susan and Edward. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren.
She was an avid sports fan who never missed a Braves, Panthers or ACC game. She loved the outdoors, bird watching, bowling and was often seen playing golf...Especially after her hole-in-one!
Her legacy of unquestionable faith, unconditional love and compassion for others will live on through all those she touched. She was an angel on “loan”, sent to be an example of what is good and righteous; now she is home.
Florence was born in Kenmore, NY but moved after marriage with Bethlehem Steel Corp. to Syracuse, Atlanta and finally ending up in Charlotte. She was a faithful member of St. Gabriel’s Church for 34 years.
The family will receive friends on Wed. Jan. 14th from 6:30 to 9:00pm at JB Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 Sharon Amity Road.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Gabriel Catholic Church on Thurs. Jan. 15th at 10:00 AM.
