Mr. Vickers, 62 of Charlotte, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. He was born June 29, 1948 in Brevard.
Robert is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Nell H. Vickers, his brother, Ronnie W. Vickers, and his sister, Kathy V. Burgess all of Harrisburg. Robert’ s father, Thomas Vickers and his brother, Tommy Vickers, preceded him in death.
Robert will be deeply missed and will be remembered for his kind and courteous behavior. He loved and respected all people he encountered and had a big smile for everyone. He loved to collect wallets, pens, and watches.
A special thanks to the caregivers and special friends Shannon, Rebecca and Linda at Five Oaks Nursing Center and to Levine & Dickson Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 in the chapel of J. B. Tallent Funeral Service, 1937 N. Sharon Amity Road, where the family will receive friends beginning at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
